Studio Calbert: Brand Identity & Design

Studio Calbert started in 2020 as an independent creative practice launched out of necessity after a pandemic-related job loss, and built entirely from the ground up. What began as freelance design and photography work evolved into a fuller understanding of how visual identity, brand strategy, and digital marketing connect to real business outcomes.

The skills developed through Studio Calbert directly informed the marketing infrastructure work at Bar Sol and the multi-venue campaign strategy at Beat Kitchen and Subterranean. Studio Calbert is now being repositioned as a focused digital marketing and branding studio, moving from freelance creative work toward brand strategy, campaign development, and content systems for small businesses and independent brands.

Sinead Odessa Kelly - Brand Identity, 2017

Full brand identity for a Minneapolis-based independent fashion designer specializing in avant-garde womenswear. Work began with a hand-sketched logo exploration process ,developing multiple directions from brief through to final concept, arriving at a logotype and floral mark system built around the client's aesthetic: soft and edgy, sculptural and playful. Deliverables included logo, business card system, and brand guidelines for use across tags, website, social media, and packaging.

Junk Punk by Kat LaCroix - Brand Identity, 2020

Logo and business card design for a Minneapolis-based found-materials artist. Creative direction driven by the medium itself: letterforms constructed from illustrated hardware and found objects to reflect the handmade, industrial character of the work. The first official Studio Calbert project.

Maydm - Strategic Brand Design, 2025

Multi-page strategic brand package for a Madison, WI nonprofit working to diversify STEM by empowering girls and youth of color in grades 6–12. Deliverables included a one-pager communicating Maydm's vision, mission, values, and theory of change, plus a visual strategic roadmap for 2026–2028. Developed through direct client collaboration and iterative feedback.
